Why the pricing works this way

Because this industry has a reputation and the pricing model is most of the reason.

The standard approach is an advertised figure low enough to get somebody in your door, followed by an inspection, followed by a considerably larger number once the registers are off and your morning is committed. It works because the customer has no way to verify anything.

Per-opening pricing removes that entirely. You can walk your house and count vents in two minutes, which means you can calculate our price yourself, check it against anybody else's, and know before we arrive exactly what the job costs.

It is not generosity. It is the only pricing model in this trade that a customer can audit.

What we will tell you that costs us money

Three things, and they are the reason this site reads differently from the rest of the category.

Sometimes you do not need this

If your house is not new, has no odor, shows no dust at the registers, has no pets or rodent evidence, and you change a decent filter on schedule, you can probably leave it. We would rather say that on the phone than take $780.

Your filter matters more than we do

A good filter changed on schedule does more for the air in your house than an annual duct cleaning does. That is an argument against our own service and it is true, so we say it.

The health claims are not supported

The EPA's position is that duct cleaning has never been shown to prevent health problems. Every company in this trade knows that and most of them market as though it is not the case. Our version is on its own page.

What we actually do

1. Walk the system. Count the openings with you, look at the filter, look at the returns, and tell you honestly whether this is worth doing. Sometimes it is not.
2. Open access. Registers come off. We get into the runs and the trunk rather than cleaning the first eighteen inches anybody can see from the floor.
3. Agitate the run. A flexible air rod with a whip head fed down the duct, breaking material off the walls of the run where it has settled rather than just moving what is loose.
4. Capture it. Negative pressure on the system the whole time, so what comes off the walls leaves the house instead of relocating to the next room.
5. Registers and grilles. Cleaned properly rather than wiped, because the thing you actually look at every day is the grille.
6. Show you. Before and after down the same run, so you can see what changed rather than take somebody's word for it.

What we are not

We do not do HVAC repair. If your upstairs will not cool, if something smells every time the system cycles, if there is water where it should not be, those are HVAC problems and cleaning ducts will not solve them. We will say so.

We are not licensed for mold remediation. If there is visible growth in your system, that is a separate trade with separate requirements, and fogging over it would be covering a problem rather than fixing one. We will tell you what we can see and who you actually need.

We do not carry certifications we have not earned, and you will not find a badge on this site that does not mean something.

Queen Creek only

One town, which is why we already know what we are likely walking into. A Harvest system probably still has build debris in it. An Encanterra system has spent the summer closed. An acreage property has animals and open ground feeding it continuously, and a high opening count to go with it.
